Crispy Protein Snack


Chickpeas are an excellent source of fibre, making them wonderful for your digestive system.

You can enjoy this delicious snack on its own, but it adds a gorgeous crunch to salads, or sprinkled on top of soup.

Serves 2

  • 1 can of chickpeas
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • pinch of salt
  • ½ tsp. ground turmeric
  • ½ tsp. ground ginger
  • ½ tsp. ground coriander


  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  2. Strain and wash chickpeas in cold water.
  3. Place chickpeas on kitchen roll or a cloth and dry thoroughly.
  4. Mix spices together and add them to your chickpeas, and then arrange on an oven tray.
  5. Roast the mixture in the oven for 30 minutes, removing after 15 minutes to shake the pan and move the chickpeas around. If you prefer crunchier chickpeas, you can leave them to roast longer.
